The Neurochronos Immersion Consortium

Who We Are

We are a group of organizations and individuals dedicated to advancing the realm of virtual reality with the goal of realizing a brain-stimulated, nested, full-immersion, time-dilated virtual reality infrastructure.

We partner with organizations and individuals in a wide array of emerging virtual reality technology fields, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence to promote innovation and procure funding for research and development initiatives.

Realizing this vision will require significant advancements in neuroscience, virtual reality technology, and artificial intelligence, as well as careful consideration of ethical implications. Collaborations with experts across various fields, including computer science, AI ethics, psychology, and neurology, will be crucial to navigate the challenges and ensure the development of safe and beneficial applications.

Our Goal and Head Milestone: Brain Stimulated Nested Full-Immersion Time-Dilated Virtual Reality Infrastructure (BSNFITDVRI)

So What is this BSNFITDVRI? Here is the Breakdown:

Brain Stimulated (BS)

Brain Stimulated refers to the method of virtual reality induction; that being direct stimulation of the brain using invasive, and then eventually (or in parallel) non-invasive, electrical hardware.

Currently virtual reality is induced using apparatus external to the body, but neuroscience has come a long way and we believe that the future holds the potential to achieve full immersion into a virtual reality world using nothing more than direct stimulation and feedback to and from the human brain.

In the field of neuroscience there have already been successful implementations of stimulating parts of the brain to control muscle movements, manage pain, and even elicit emotion. Feedback mechanisms have reached the point of measuring brainwaves in meaningful ways such as training computer simulations to be controlled by how or what a person thinks including controls through emotional states.

Other successful endeavors include implanting sensors into the brains of cats, and humans alike, to roughly translate what the brain interprets the eyes to be seeing; producing shapeforms displayed on a computer screen.

Nested (N) is Part of the Infrastructure (I) Contributing to Time-Dilation

What exactly is nested within the infrastructure? Well, as the full name and acronym suggest, a Full-Immersion Time-Dilated Virtual Reality. The acronym may better well be understood in a pseudocode form such as BS -> { N(FITDVR)I }.

Full-Immersion (FI) as Applied to Virtual Reality

Today all virtual reality is partial-immersion, or immersive to whatever extent it can be innovated to.

Full-immersion implies being in a virtual reality where your self in that virtual reality thinks that it IS in reality. The person induced into a full-immersion virtual reality world would technically be sitting still or resting in their actual reality. What they are experiencing, however, is being capable of all wanted aspects that actual reality entails and more.

This is especially important to keep in mind when considering the critical need for this level of immersion by individuals in various states of unrest in the actual physical world. While applicable to the benefit of everyone, The Neurochronos Immersive Consortium's first and foremost aim is to virtually enable the disabled, make the old virtually young again, give the blind virtual sight, give those with mental disabilities a virtual life of full mental capability, offer those engulfed in a world of physical and/or mental abuse a virtual world free of pain and negative mental states, and much more.

When it comes to training, educating, gaming, and other currently successful utilizations of virtual reality technologies the impact of full-immersion is just as important and will, of course, coincide with our primary aim. That's why it is just as important for each facet of virtual reality development to be part of the consortium. Where one sector benefits, so do all the others.

It is rather simple to comprehend why everyone on Earth will eventually want something to do with virtual reality: Reality is composed of things we want and things we don't want. Virtual reality can leave out the things we don't want and contain the things we want in addition to things we want that just aren't possible in reality.

Time-Dilated (TD) as Applied to Virtual Reality

Time dilation is the expansion or lengthening of time. Applied to a virtual reality this means the time spent in full-immersion virtual reality (e.g. The reality of time for the experience in virtual reality) is longer than the time that is spent in actual reality for the person fully immersed in virtual reality.

The aim is to conduct a virtual reality session as quickly as possible in real-world time while lengthening the time in the virtual reality's reality's time. As a time dilated virtual reality session would be beneficial for everyone, the weight of importance of this aspect is far greater for those in end-of-life circumstances. To virtually live a lifetime without pain or other unpleasant aspects of actual reality in a five minute timeframe of actual reality's time being an obvious preference to living another five minutes of suffering days, weeks, or months away from actual death.

The Consortium's Reality

The Neurochronos Immersion Consortium, as an entity composed of organizations and individuals has no capacity limitations, and has an infinite lifespan just as the Internet and many other forms of technology do; akin to any business or corporate entity. Its survival is based on things that are now permanently attached to our reality; namely organizations composed of humans, computers, and virtual reality.
